Disc guard thichness - for 230mm angle grinder, the disc guard thickness should be at least 2mm. For cost saving, factory may buy 2mm steel to produce it. But after treating of the steel, the thickness will be less than 2mm normally (about 1.85 - 2mm).
2. Grinding disc allowed speed vs product no load speed - main issue is on 230mm disc. For MPA certificated disc, the max allowed product speed normal is 80m/s(about 6600/min). Per CE approval, there is allowed +10% as tolerance. So if an angle grinder mark its rated no load speed like 6000/min, its max speed will be 6000+6000x10% = 6600/min.
So for such 230mm angle grinder has rated no load speed is more than 6000/min is not suitable for market
